UntitledInflammation of the dental pulp (pulpitis) can lead to pain in the teeth. It is usually caused by a bacterial infection, which is the second stage of development of dental caries. Sometimes there is a non-bacterial inflammation where the cause of damage can be physical or chemical (grinding teeth, chemicals). The inflammation can be acute or chronic. In case of acute pulpitis the pain is intense and can be continuous or intermittent. Chronic pulpitis is characterized by less intense pain that may also be continuous or discontinuous. Chronic pulpitis could originate from the acute one.

Depending on the stage of the disease, the treatment of pulpitis can be very demanding. In the Dental clinic “Saint Sava” the procedure and duration of the pulpitits treatment, as well as other diseases of root canal, are significantly shortened by usage of hard lasers.
