Ridge augmentation (increasing of the jaw ridge) and sinus lift
Alveolar ridge, a part of the jaw where the roots are situated, can be resorbed if there is periodontal disease or after the tooth extraction. When installing the implant it is necessary to provide a sufficient height and width of the ridge, and that is the most common indication for this intervention.
Sinus lift is an oral surgical procedure that increases the height of the bone in the upper jaw. Often the roots of upper teeth enter the sinus. After removing these teeth remains a small bone height which is a problem for implant placement.
