Removing of the frenulum (Frenulectomy)

Frenulectomy is a surgical intervention that removes a frenulum which connects the upper or lower lip with gums, and a flap which connects the tongue to the floor of the mouth. Most frequently it is done to children and adolescents because it can influence the irregular position of the teeth, the development of proper speech and the development of periodontal disease and it is also done as preprosthetic preparation. With a laser this procedure can be performed in a short time, without a drop of blood, gently and comfortably for the patient.
